Harvesting and Demolition

The helpful volunteers from the Sandy Utah West Stake and the  Cottonwood Heights Utah Brighton Stake along with the  dedicated service missionaries were busy this evening.

Zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, cauliflower, corn were  harvested.  Beets, salad turnips and radishes were planted.  The old  greenhouse continues to be demolished. 

The Sandy Utah Crops has provided the Bishop's Storehouse with  an accumulation of 10,912 lbs of produce to date.

Demolition Day

The helpful volunteers from  the Sandy Utah YSA Stake and the Salt Lake Big Cottonwood Stake along with the dedicated service missionaries were busy this morning.

Zucchini, spaghetti squash, salad turnips, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, summer squash, peppeers, corn were harvested.  Weeding occurred in the field.  The irrigation water has been reduced by the water master prematurely. This situation will be resolved.  The old greenhouse continues to be demolished. 

The Sandy Utah Crops has provided the Bishop's Storehouse with an accumulation of 9,789 lbs of produce to date.

Many Helpful Volunteers

The faithful volunteers from the Sandy Utah East Stake and the Salt Lake Butler West Stake along with the dedicated service missionaries were busy this evening.

Zucchini, summer squash, tomatoes, acorn squash, salad turnips, corn were harvested.  The  carrot beds' pH level were re-tested.  It is currently in the base range and methods are being looked at to lower it.  The old greenhouse continues to be demolished. 

The Sandy Utah Crops has provided the Bishop's Storehouse with an accumulation of 8,957 lbs of produce to date.

A Breezy Evening to Serve

The helpful volunteers from the Salt Lake Butler Stake and the Salt  Lake South Cottonwood Stake along with the dedicated service  missionaries were busy this evening.

Zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, peppers, salad turnips, tomatoes, carrots, acorn squash were harvested. The carrot beds had  additional soil added.  The old greenhouse is in the process  of being prepared  to  be demolished.  The corn crops were sprayed.  Squash insects were removed from the zucchini and summer squash growboxes.   Weeding occurred in the field.

The Sandy Utah Crops has provided the Bishop's Storehouse with an accumulation of 6,772 lbs of produce to date.

Harvesting and Weeding Continues

The helpful volunteers from the Draper Utah YSA, the Draper Utah  Stake and the dedicated service missionaries were busy this morning.

Zucchini, summer squash,  cucumbers, tomatoes were harvested. Weeding occurred in the field.  Squash insects were removed from  the zucchini and summer squash growboxes. The old greenhouse is being prepared for demolition.

The Sandy Utah Crops has provided the Bishop's Storehouse with an  accumulation of 6,479 lbs of healthy produce to date.

A Peaceful Evening at the Farm

The dedicated volunteers from the Sandy Utah Mount Jordan Stake and the Salt Lake Cottonwood  Stake  assisted the faithful service missionaries this evening.

Zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, tomatoes were harvested.  The carrot beds had the pH levels reduced from 7.0 to 6.5.   Squash insects were removed from the zucchini and summer squash.  Weeding occurred in the  field.

The Sandy Utah Crops has  provided the Bishop's Storehouse with an accumulation of 5,958 lbs of healthy  produce to date.

A Very Busy Evening at the Farm

The helpful  volunteers from the Sandy Utah Willow Creek Stake and the Draper Utah Mountain Point Stake  along with the dedicated service missionaries were busy this evening.

Zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, spaghetti squash, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage were harvested.  The field was weeded.  Squash insects were removed from the zucchini and summer squash. An additional growbox was prepared to grow carrots. The tomatoes were pollinated with a toothbrush.

The Sandy Vegetable Crops has provided the Bishop's Storehouse  with an accumulation of 5,331 lbs of healthy produce to date.
