Dedicated volunteers from the Salt Lake Brighton Stake harvested carrots, cucumbers, zucchini, cabbge and yellow squash. Volunteers and missionaries weeded in the field.
The Sandy Vegetable Project has produced 2151 lbs of vegetables so far this season.

An Ideal Morning to Volunteer
The enthusiastic volunteers from the Sandy Utah YSA and the Draper Utah YSA harvested zucchini, cucumbers, carrots, cabbge, crookneck squash and zephyr squash. Missionaries and volunteers planted additional corn and melons. The missionaries in the greenhouse planted cantaloupe seeds , watermelon seeds and a variety of melon seeds.

Another day of Productive Work
Faithful volunteers from the Sandy Utah Cottonwood Creek Stake and the Sandy Utah West Stake assisted missionaries with harvesting zephyr squash, zucchini and cucumbers. The volunteers assisted with securing weed cloth in the field. Missionaries in the greenhouse planted cantaloupe seeds. The leak managers took care of the leaky irrigation pipes.

Reliable and hardworking volunteers from the Sandy Utah Willow Creek Stake and the Sandy Utah Granite South Stake assisted missionaries with harvesting cabbage, cucumbers, yellow squash, and zucchini. Missionaries and volunteers planted in the field the following: cabbge, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and tomatoes. The service missionaries working in the greenhouse planted broccoli, cauliflower and lettuce.

Reliable and trustworthy volunteers from the Sandy Utah Central Stake and the Draper Utah Eastridge Stake assisted missionaries with planting pumpkins from seed. Missionaries and volunteers harvested cabbage, cucumbers, zucchini, and three types of squash. Volunteers also weeded between the grow boxes.
Accumulating vegetable total for the Sandy Vegetable Project to date is 776 lbs.

Independence Day Weekend
Hardworking volunteers from the South Jordan River Ridge Stake and the Crescent South Stake came to the Sandy Vegetable Project in the middle of the three day weekend with perfect weather to assist with harvesting the lettuce, cabbge and summer squash. The missionaries and volunteers planted pumpkins. Missionaries and volunteers also weeded between the grow boxes.
