The Draper UT and Cottonwood Heights UT Brighton Stakes came ready to work this morning. We got right to our picking and then had loads of veggies to wash. Today's harvest included lots of corn, celery, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, and squash. Nice job team!
The farm is bursting with veggies!! We've been a little short-handed around here and are trying our best to keep up. Tonight we appreciated the help from the West Jordan Heritage and South Jordan UT River Ridge Stakes. We harvested 644 pounds of summer squash, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, corn, celery, and spaghetti squash.
The Licona Family came to help out at the farm today. They are non-members and were really impressed with the work we are doing. They want to come back on Tuesday and do more. They made excellent tomato pickers. Thank you!
Our missionary circle was so big tonight! We love all of the missionaries who are serving at the farm. It's a wonderful calling that is so different and rewarding.
We are grateful for all the brothers from the South Jordan Utah River Stake who helped us at the farm tonight. We gathered our harvest, fertilized and tilled some beds, washed the veggies, and weeded in the field.
We had another EXCITING delivery at the farm tonight. Warren's been working on his EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT of building hose holders for the farm. He made them out of PVC pipes. Tonight he came by with his dad and brother and delivered them. Thank you, Warren! We will put them to good use.
