Scatter Sunshine
Tonight at the farm we enjoyed the good services rendered from the Salt Lake Brighton Stake and the South Jordan River Ridge Stake. These volunteers scattered their sunshine all along the farm doing a variety of tasks. They planted hundreds of seeds in the greenhouse, transplanted the cauliflower and broccoli into the grow boxes, put black nets over the cabbage, and raked the field.

The Cycle of Life Begins
A breeding pair of killdeer have chosen grow box # 64 to build a nest and lay four eggs. There are two eggs remaining. One egg was dropped when the nest was moved during an unsuccessful attempt to relocate it. The second egg disappeared. Speculation is that a predidor snatched the egg.
Sunny Tuesday
The dedicated volunteers from the Sandy Utah Cottonwood Creek Stake and the Sandy Utah Willow Creek Stake laid and secured the weed cloth for the squash, removed rocks from the field, weeded between grow boxes.
