Tonight we had some great volunteers from the Sandy UT Granite South and Sandy UT Hidden Valley Stakes. We had a young women's group who attend Jordan High School come. They were excited to dig beets seeing how they are the beetdiggers! We also had a big crew out harvesting, working in the field, and preparing new grow boxes for the next round of crops. Well done!

Break Time
What do you call three farm boys sitting around takin' a break?? TROUBLE!
A Spectacular Field
The field is looking spectacular. Just a huge mass of green leaves everywhere. We harvested our first spaghetti squash last week. Looking forward to seeing what the harvest haul will produce this year. Last year we weighed in at 42,000 pounds. Right now we are around 4,000 pounds.

A Tasty Reward
At the end of a hot shift you just want something cold! We'll, we've got you covered at the farm. Yummy Otter Pops are served for workers who work. This little guy did GREAT today!
Carrot Topping with a Side of Fun
Here's our carrot topping crew that worked together to cut off all the carrot tops to prepare them for washing. They did a great job. We sure LOVE our new benches built by an Eagle Scout this season. They make the perfect area for our volunteers to socialize while they work.
Super Saturday
We had an awesome Saturday at the farm. Volunteers from the Sandy UT East and Sandy UT Granite Stakes came ready and willing to help. We had a nice turnout today which meant we could tend to many projects. We harvested and washed veggies, topped off carrots, weeded, prepared new beds for planting, cleaned out the cooler, sanitized bins, organized seed packets, bagged groups of seed trays, washed buckets, and worked in the field.

A Seed Donation
The Sandy UT Crescent Ridge Stake helped us out at the farm last night. We started with our first priority of the day which is always harvesting. Then we move to washing the veggies. There are always other tasks going on that keep the volunteers busy and the garden looking good. The kids who came tonight worked on a special project of sorting and organizing seed packets. We were given a huge donation of seeds from a local store with hundreds of seed packets. We will put those to good use!

A Beautiful Summer Evening to Pick Veggies
It was another beautiful summer evening. We picked a hearty harvest of summer squash, zucchini, cucumbers, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, beets, and radishes. Several more new veggies should be ready to pick soon. We appreciate the volunteers from the Sandy UT Cottonwood Creek and Sandy UT Crescent Park who helped pick today's harvest, washed the veggies, planted seeds, and hoed weeds in the field.

Our veggies are looking so good! Tonight we harvested some beautiful radishes, green onions, red leaf lettuce, zephyr squash, yellow crookneck squash, zucchini, beets, and cabbage. The days are gettting hot and we so appreciate tonight's volunteers from the Sandy Utah Central and Sandy Utah Crescent North Stakes. You were wonderful tonight sweating it out accomplishing so much! Thank you!
