Winterizing Continues Full Force

The helpful  volunteers  from  the Sandy  Utah  Crescent  Ridge  Stake and  Sandy Utah Hillcrest Stake along  with  the  dedicated  service  missionaries were busy this evening.   

Weed cloths from the field and growboxes were removed for the  season. The remaining 160 lbs of acorn squash and the remaining orange pumpkins were taken to the Bishop's Storehouse.

Winterizing Continues

The helpful volunteers from the Sandy Utah Crescent Stake and the Murray Utah YSA Stake along with the  dedicated service missionaries were busy this morning. 

The carrots were covered for the season. The remaining frozen tomato crops were removed.  The tomato cages  were  stacked and stored for the winter.  The remaining weed clothes from the field and growboxes were removed.  The sprinkler misters and sprinkler lines were removed for the winter.

The  Sandy  Utah  Crops  has  provided  the  Bishop's  Storehouse  with  an  accumulation  of  41,324 lbs  of  healthy  produce  and  the  Utah  Food  Bank  with  an  accumulation  of  3,148  lbs  of  healthy  produce  to  date.

Garden Clean Up after the Freeze

The helpful volunteers from the Sandy Utah Willow Creek Stake and the Sandy Utah Canyon View Stake assisted  the faithful service missionaries this evening.

Pumpkin, various other types of winter squash and jalapeño peppers were harvested.  The remaining frozen and destroyed tomato was removed. 

The Sandy Utah Crops has provided the Bishop's Storehouse with an accumulation of 40,949 lbs of healthy  produce and the Utah Food Bank with an accumulation of 3,148 lbs of healthy produce to date.

Many Willing Hands Helping Wind Up Production

The  helpful  volunteers from the Sandy Utah West  Stake  and  the  Cottonwood  Heights  Utah  Brighton  Stake  along  with  the  dedicated  service missionaries were busy this evening.

Various types of winter squash, pumpkins, and tomatillos were harvested. Weed clothes were removed from the field in preparation for the end of season clean up.

The Sandy Utah Crops has provided the  Bishop's  Storehouse  with  an  accumulation  of  39,698 lbs  of  healthy  produce  and  the  Utah  Food  Bank  with  an  accumulation  of  3,148 lbs  of  healthy  produce  to  date.

Harvesting Winding Down

The helpful  volunteers  from  the  Sandy  Utah  East  Stake  and  the  Sandy  Utah  Butler  Stake  with  the  dedicated  service  missionaries  were  busy  this  evening.

Pumpkins, various types of peppers, tomatillos, various types of melons, various types of squash were harvested.  Several weed  clothes were removed from the field.

The Sandy Utah Crops has provided the Bishop's Storehouse with an accumulation of 37,272 lbs of healthy  produce and the Utah Food Bank with an accumulation of 3,025 lbs of healthy produce to date.

A Brisk Evening to Serve

The faithful volunteers from the South Cottonwood Stake and the Sandy Utah Mount Jordan Stake assisted the dedicated service missionaries this evening.

Various types of winter squash, green  bell peppers, zucchini, crookneck  squash, cantaloupe, zephyr  squash, tomatoes were harvested.  After two successive nights of freezing weather, most crops were frozen.  Several field weedclothes were removed for the winter.

The Sandy Utah Crops has provided the Bishop's Storehouse with an accumulation of 36,258 lbs of healthy  produce and the Utah Food Bank with an accumulation of 2,873 lbs of healthy  produce.

Many Helpful Hands Make Fast Work

The many helpful volunteers from the Sandy Utah YSA Stake and the  Draper Utah Stake  assisted  the  dedicated  service  missionaries  this  morning.

Zucchini, various types of summer  squash, tomatoes, various types of peppers, salad turnips, butternut squash, pumpkins, various types of  winter squash and Crenshaw melons  were  harvested.  Several  grow clothes were removed from the field since  the specific crops have been completely  harvested.

The  Sandy  Utah  Crops  has  provided  the  Bishop's  Storehouse  with  an  accumulation  of  34,182 lbs  of  healthy  produce  and  the  Utah  Food  Bank  with  an  accumulation  of  2,873 lbs  of  healthy  produce  to  date.

Zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, melons, carrots, spaghetti squash, green peppers, hot peppers,  turnip greens were harvested.  Weeding occurred in the growboxes.

The  Sandy Utah Crops has provided the Bishop's Storehouse with an accumulation of 28,915 lbs of  produce  pand the Utah Food Bank with an accumulation of 2,245 lbs of produce to date.

A Windy Evening to Volunteer

The helpful volunteers from the Sandy Utah Alta View Stake and the South Jordan Utah River Stake assisted the faithful service missionaries this evening.

Zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, melons, winter squash were harvested.  The  water pressure continues  to  be  a  struggle. The  greenhouse  continues  to  be  rebuilt.

First Pumpkin Harvest

The  dedicated volunteers from the Sandy Utah Granite South Stake and the Draper Utah Eastridge Stake assisted the faithful service missionaries this evening.

Zucchini, summer  squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, melons, peppers, pumpkins, winter squash and corn were harvested.  The greenhouse continues to be rebuilt.  The water line to the greenhouse is being replaced.

The Sandy Utah Crops has provided the Bishop's Storehouse with an accumulation of 23,218 lbs of produce and the Utah Food Bank with an accumulation of 1,801 lbs of produce to date.

Harvesting and Greenhouse Construction

The dedicated volunteers from the Sandy Utah Wasatch Stake and Sandy Utah Midvalley Stake assisted the faithful service missionaries this morning.

Zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, melons, winter squash were harvested.  The new greenhouse kit has been delivered the site.
