A Very Rainy Evening

Missionaries and volunteers from the Sandy Utah Crescent Ridge planted carrots outside in grow boxes #52, #54 and #62.
Missionaries pruned the remaining grapevines and tilled grow boxes #41 and #54.
Missionaries also cleaned out the shed.

About Us

The Sandy Vegetable Project was started in 1978 by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a church welfare farm. The vegetables grown at this farm are sent to the Bishop's Storehouse in Sandy, UT, or to the Utah Food Bank. There are 20+ volunteer service-missionaries called to work at the farm each harvest season from spring until fall. The missionaries oversee the many volunteers who come from 44 stakes around the valley to help with the work. During the 2017 season, more than 42,000 pounds of vegetables were harvested at the farm for the bishop's storehouse.
