End of the Season

The helpful members from the Sandy Utah Central Stake volunteered this morning with end of season  clean  up by helping clean out the remaining  grow  boxes, removing the remaining weed cloth from the field and general  clean up and organization of the garden and  building.

Butternut  squash was taken  to  the  Bishop's  Storehouse.

To date this season, the Sandy Utah Vegetable Project has provided  over 28,000 lbs of produce for the Bishop's Storehouse.

Fall Harvest Clean Up Continues

The faithful members of the Sandy Utah Hillcrest Stake and the Draper Utah Crescent View Stake served  tonight harvesting butternut  squash and tomatoes. They also helped put away the remaining weed cloth.

The Sandy  Vegetable  Project  has  provided  the  Bishop's  Storehouse  with  27,744 lbs  of produce to date this  season.

We appreciate  our  many  dedicated  and  hard  working  volunteers  from  many  different  stakes who have volunteered this  season.

Fall Clean Up Continues

The helpful volunteers from the Sandy Utah Granite South Stake  and the Sandy Utah Mount Jordan Stake assisted missionaries with removing the several weed cloth from the field. The volunteers  also assisted with harvesting and gleaning various types of squash, Roma tomatoes, celery, pumpkins, cantaloupe, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and three small watermelons.

The Sandy Vegetable Project has  provided the Bishop's Storehouse with an  accumulation  of  26,650 lbs of produce to date.

Wrapping up the Fall Harvest

The helpful  volunteers  from  the  Sandy  Utah  Lone  Peak  Stake  and  the  Salt  Lake  Cottonwood  Stake  assisted  missionaries  with  harvesting  tomatoes, zucchini, a single watermelon, cantalupe, and  various  types of  squash. 
In addition, the bell peppers were removed.

The Sandy  Vegetable  Project  has  provided  the  Bishop's  Storehouse  with  24,671 lbs of  produce  to  date.

A Typical October Harvest

The helpful volunteers from the Salt Lake Big Cottonwood Stake and  the  Salt Lake Butler West Stake assisted  missionaries with harvesting spaghetti squash, green peppers, pumpkins, corn, cauliflower, zucchini, cantaloupe, watermelon, carrots, tomatoes, butternut squash.

The missionaries and volunteers also continued to winterize  the farm by removing weed cloth and cleaning out the empty grow boxes.

The Sandy Vegetable Project has provided the Bishop's Storehouse with an accumulated 23,905 lbs of produce to date.

Fall Harvest and Capital Improvements

The dedicated  volunteers  from  the  Sandy  Utah  Crescent  Park  Stake  and  the  Sandy  Utah  Crescent  View  Stake  served  tonight. The volunteers  assisted  missionaries  with  harvesting  pumpkins, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, cantaloupe, zucchini, tomatoes.and carrots.

The Sandy  Vegetable  Project  is  currently  undergoing  capital  improvements with new sewer, water and Internet lines being added.

The Sandy  Vegetable  Project  has  provided  21,581 lbs of  produce  for  the  Bishop's  Storehouse  to  date.

The Fall Harvest is Winding Down

The helpful volunteers from the Sandy Utah Granite View Stake and the Sandy Utah Alta View Stake members   served tonight harvesting carrots, various types of peppers, various types of squash, and various types of melons.  Most of the zucchini and the yellow crookneck squash crops have completed their plant cycle and were removed  from the growboxes.

The Sandy Vegetable Project has provided the Bishop's Storehouse with 20,062 lbs. of produce to date.

Fall Harvest Continues

The helpful volunteers from the Sandy Utah Granite Stake and  the  Sandy Utah Midvalley Stake served tonight harvesting various types  of squash, carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, various types of melons and  various types  of  peppers.   

The  Sandy  Vegetable  Project  has  provided  19,109 lbs of  produce  for  the  Bishop's  Storehouse  to  date.
